Easter at LBC
Jesus is risen!
Come celebrate with us this Easter Sunday at Little Brown Chapel! We’ll start off our time together at 9:30 AM with a free brunch, followed by our worship service at 10:30 AM. If you have any questions, please call Pastor John at 360-941-5218.
February Events at LBC
February is a busy month at Little Brown Chapel! Here’s what’s on the horizon…
Friday, February 10 – Chili Cookoff and Western Movie Night
The fun starts at 6 PM with a chili cookoff. If you have a chili recipe that’s sure to beat all comers, then contact Dawna Bennett at 360-840-4070 to enter!
Then, once everyone’s stuffed full of chili, we’ll all enjoy a Western together.
Both the chili and the movie are FREE, so come and join us! Don’t forget your ten-gallon hat!
Saturday, February 11 – Blood Drive
The bloodmobile will be in the LBC parking lot from 8 AM until 3 PM, so come and donate – you may save a life!
Sometimes, it’s good to return to the fundamentals. That’s exactly what we’ll be doing this Sunday at Little Brown Chapel! Pastor John’s sermon, “What is the Mission of the Church?”, will look at the final words of Jesus as found in Matthew, John, and Acts to determine what Jesus has commanded us as a church to be doing on mission for Him, and look at what we’ll be doing over the next several months to obey His command. (And don’t forget – since tomorrow is the first Sunday of the month, we’ll celebrate the Lord’s Table as well during the 11 AM service!)
Also, the adult Sunday school class is starting a new series this week as well. We’ll be watching a video series called “The Holiness of God”, based on the book by theologian and pastor R.C. Sproul.
Join us for Sunday school at 9:45 AM and our worship service at 11 AM!

This Sunday at LBC: “Where Was God on 9/11?”
Most of us can clearly remember the morning of September 11, 2001. The terrorist attacks in New York City and Washington D.C. (and the failed attempt aboard United Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania) affected all of us deeply, and caused many to wonder: If God is really in control, then why did the 9/11 attacks happen? Why does God allow tragedy, evil and suffering in this world?
This Sunday morning, Pastor John’s sermon will address this sensitive yet vitally important issue. See you at 11 AM!
Houston, we have a website…
That’s right, we’ve finally joined the 21st Century (sort of)!
In the days and weeks to come, we’ll add more content to this site about the various ministries and activities going on at LBC, but for now, feel free to take a look around! If you have any questions, drop Pastor John an email at john@littlebrownchapel.com or give him a call at 360-941-5218!
